Tribelt has comprehensive manufacturing equipment at her disposal. This can be divided into 5 groups, component manufacturing, weaving and assembling, Belt edge finishing, production of traction wheels and cleaning. These groups will be discussed in more detail below.

Manufacture of parts

There is a large number of parts to be appointed for the different conveyor belts being produced at Tribelt.
These parts are by means of a variety of manufacturing techniques manufactured. The punch department is thus equipped to, on a large scale, punch bar links, for the bar link belt, from strip steel. The stamps being used for this originate from our own tool center. Eyelinks, are next to the bar links also produced at the punch department. These eye links are subsequently fully automatic and traploos provided of localisation wire by means of a point welding installation.

We appeal, for optional components such as, zijplaten, nokjes en meenemers, to our sister company De Spiraal. Here they have access to a wide range of wire-bending machines, brake presses. Besides, they have the possibility to laser cut and to diverse hand manufacture opportunities.

For the cross rods for the purpose of conveyor belts with a straight cross rod, we use a richtbank met stuikunit. By means of this machine we are able to produce a large amount of cross rods within a small time frame. For the conveyor belts with corrugated cross rods, we have a golfbank at our disposal which cuts the cross rods, beforehand, to length.

Weaving and assembling

When talking about the labour intensity the weaving of conveyor belts is a highlight. Our weave department is equipped in such a way to manufacture belts in a comfortable and efficient manner. Because of the fact that we have the development of our weave installations under our own management we can precisely respond to the critical factors associated to weaving. The weaving of conveyor belts is of major importance to the eventual quality of the belt, that’s why Tribelt pays much attention to settle in employees.

Belt side finishing

Depending on your choice of self-edge (belt side finishing), the sides of the conveyor belt can be welded. Our own team of process engineering develops special welding installations for each particular type of belt. Thereby, it was specifically taken into account to secure as many possible aspects, concerning the quality of the belts, within the installations. Besides, efficiency and ergonomics are paramount. The weld installations are being provided of the last welding vapour suction technique. This in turn contributes again to a pleasant working environment for our colleagues at the workplace.

Cleaning

To get rid of the residues of the manufacturing process, like metals, cut remnants or oils, you can choose to clean your conveyor belt. The belt will undergo a cleaning process and lubricants and possible metal fibres will be removed by means of a degreaser. Next to the previous mentioned method of cleaning it is also possible to clean the belts in an industrial way, the belts will, in that case, be put through special baths and will be cleaned by means of high pressure. In case this is a requirement, the cleaning will be carried out externally. (Take a look at surface treatment as well).

Sprockets

Tribelt controls, since 2014, the production of a large amount of different sprockets at their own company. The common materials from which sprockets, also known as traction wheels, are being milled are PA6G (nylon), POM (Acetal), C45 (non processed steel), and 1.4305 (SS 304). Traction wheels are incidentally produced in other materials such as types of stainless steel 316 or for example PA6G-XAU. The bore, keyway and / or mortise are always being applied according to the specifications of the customer. Tribelt keeps a restricted number of sprockets as inventory items in order to be able to respond quickly in case of urgent orders. For more information about the different sprockets, take a look at the product overview.
