The spirals of Type 200 are however mechanically deformed which causes the diameter to have a flat (some what oval) shape.
The contact surface with the products has increased due to the flattened spirals. This results in a more stable positioning of products on the belt.
The side finishing is the same as with type “Type 100: WG”.

  • – Longitunal pitch: 4,4 up to 35 mm
  • – Lateral pitch: 3,6 up to 20 mm
  • – Spiral wire: 1,2×0,6 up to 4,0×2,0 mm
  • – Cross rod wire: ø 1,2 up to 5 mm
  • – Materials: all obtainable types of wire in tensile strengths of 600 – 1050 N/mm2
  • – Temperature range: ambient up to approximately 1150 °C
  • – Range of the width of the belt: 15 – 6500 mm
  • – Lateral chains are a possibility (take a look at Type 1000: KE)
  • – Heightened side guards are a possibility
  • – Possibility to attach cross flights

The flattened wire WG belts are characterised by:

  • – Drive on the basis of friction; large enough drive roller is necessary
  • – Preferred support: herringbone motive with a contact surface consisting of different material than the belt is from
  • – Large passing range from very closed to very open
  • – The spirals remain in their position due to undulated cross rods
  • – Very flexible since every set of spiral-cross rod is separate from the following set
  • – The straight belt run is guaranteed by alternated left and right spirals
  • – Tools are inflexible; not every combination of longitunal pitch / lateral pitch / spiral wire / cross rod wire is possible
  • – This is within the category ‘’woven belts’’ (types 100 / 110 / 150 / 200 / 300 / 310), together with Type 100, the most favourable belt.

Both, type 100 and 200 of the woven belts with welded sides, are known for their variety of applications. Several common applications are mentioned below:

  • – Oven belts in bread & pastry industry
  • – Belts in sterilisation tunnels for the pharmaceutical industry
  • – Belts in drying systems for the industry producing isolation material
  • – Overlay of chain-edge belts in cool- and baking oven belts in the potato-& grocery processing industries
  • – Belts in tunnels serving high temperature treatment processes such as tempering, harden, sintering hard soldering, etc.
