Sprockets wheels are, next to 1100B and 1100K, the third possibility to drive eye link conveyor belts. The wheels consist of milled rooms in which the cross rods, with around it the eyes, fall. These rooms are at Tribelt angular instead of radius shaped.
There are as well special rooms created for the localisation wire of OGB-L belts.

The sprockets wheels for the eye link conveyor belts are produced by our selves. The sprockets wheels could therefore be realized in almost all technical versions. The most important parameters in there are several sprocketss (longitunal pitch circle), width, types of material, bore, whether or not a key way, whether or not a tapped hole (with set screw) and the possible free space for a row of bar links. There are certain recommendations to be made for these parameters;
- – Amount of teeth (longitunal pitch circle); recommended 8 up to 16
- – Width; >60 mm (depending on the opening of the belt)
- – Materials: POM, PA6G, PA6G-XAU, 1.4305, 1.0503
- – Bore: in conformity with customer specifications. Round bore is preferred.
- – Key way: always (idle rollers could possible do without)
- – Tapped hole: to prevent the axle of getting damaged, it is preferred to secure on the key way and not on the axle.
- – Free space for the purpose of bar links is at all times being recommende
De OGB(-L) sprockets wheels are characterised by:
- – Drive on the basis of sprockets wheels; no chance on belt slip
- – Due to the relatively large longitunal pitch of the belt, a so called polygon effect will appear. The larger the teeth, the smaller the effect
- – The distance between the sprocketss is depending on the width of the sprocketss and the total width of the belt
- – An as large as possible turned around angle of the belt, with respect to the sprocketss (>180°), is being preferred
- – Tribelts sprocketss have ‘’rooms’’ with a hooked, instead of radius shaped, profile. This means that there is a better transfer of power from the gear onto the belt
- – While executing sprocketss with free space for bar links, a bended moment on the longitunal pitch is made smaller. This is profitable for the life span of the belt
In the case of eye link conveyor belts with no heavy load, it is fine to choose sprockets wheels of the type 1100T:OGB9(-L). Several applications are;
- – Bake ovens in potato and meat processing industry
- – Cooling and freezing systems (possible special ice-crusher version)
- – Drying systems
– Cleaning installations It is the advice, in the case of heavy loads, to take a drive drum. Take a look at Type 1100B: tube drums and Type 1100K: cage drum
