Welded Balanced Weave Belt

The welded balanced weave belt with multiple cross rods (WG-I) looks, concerning the construction of the belt, like “type 100: WG” or like the flattened “type 200: WG”. The main difference is that the WG-I belts consists of more cross rods per spiral.
The more cross rods per spiral (3 up to 6) the denser the belt surface and the less flexible the belt will get.

More info

  • – Longitunal pitch: 5,0 up to 20 mm
  • – Lateral pitch: 5,0 up to 11 mm
  • – Spiral wire: ø 0,9 up to 1,6 mm
  • – Cross rod wire: ø 1,0 up to 2,0 mm
  • – Materials: all obtainable types of wire in tensile strengths of 600 – 1050 N/mm2
  • – Temperature range: ambient up to approximately 1150 °C
  • – Range of the width of the belt: common width is up to 2000 mm. Larger widths could be desired. Please discuss this prematurely with our technical sellers.
  • – Lateral chains are a possibility (take a look at Type 1000: KE)
  • – Possibility to attach cross flights

The WG-I belts are characterised by:

  • – Drive on the basis of friction; large enough drive roller is necessary
  • – Preferred support: herringbone motive with a PE1000 contact surface
  • – Passing range of the belt; very closed, small products can therefore be trans located.
  • – The high density of the belt guarantees a good and even transition of heat towards the products.
  • – Flexibility is depending on the amount of cross rods per spiral. It is however, less flexible than “Type 100: WG” or than the flattened belt “Type 200: WG’’
  • – The straight belt run is guaranteed by alternated left and right spirals
  • – Tools are inflexible; not every combination of longitunal pitch /lateral pitch/ spiral wire/cross rod wire is possible.
  • – This belt is, when compared to other belt types, heavy since much material per m2 is being processed.

The woven belts with multiple cross rods is familiar with several applications, the most common are mentioned below:

  • – Oven belts in the pastry industry, whereby the belt is directly used to bake on.
  • – Belts in sterilisation tunnels in the pharmaceutical industry
  • – Lead-out belt conveyors of cutting machines / adjust centres
  • – Overlay of chain belts whereby a dense belt surface is required
  • – Belts in tunnels serving high temperature treatment processes such as tempering, harden, sintering, hard soldering, etc.
  • – Belts in tunnels for glowing glass
  • – Curtains/screens to maintain the heat in tunnel ovens with high temperatures
  • – Jewellery
