Hygiene, traceability and wear-resistance are of major importance in the potato, vegetable and fruit processing (AGF) industry. The use of many metal belts is therefore logical.
Tribelt is familiar with the diverse belt types as well as with the requirements of this industry. The diverse applications the belts are used for, are listed below. The most common belt types are mentioned as well.

A pretty common step in the entire process of the AGF industry is blanching, cooking or steaming. For this step in the process, an installation with in it a metal conveyor belt is often been chosen. Belts in these types of installations are frequently realized with special options such as cross flights, side guards and/or lateral chains. Tribelt can think along with you and advise you about the advantages and disadvantages of the diverse opportunities.
Common belt types are:
Baking (frying) is, especially within the potato processing industry, a very common process. The installations available are often constructed with special designed metal belts, whether or not provided of chains, cross flights and/or towing meshes.
Our own engineering’s department makes sure that these belts are always converted into a drawing.
Our customers are therefore, in advance of the production of the belt, able to visualise how the belt will look like. This is how we know that we are talking about the same version of the belt.
Common belt types are:
Oils are used during the baking process. The oils that goes along with the flow of the products are recovered again as much as possible. This enables us to minimalize the wastage of oil. Besides, it is being prevented that an unnecessary pile of oil and fat starts to accumulate in the back of the process installation. The oil in the bake oven is continuously being filtered in order to keep it clean.
The belts Tribelt delivers for these steps in the process are:
For these application it happens regurlarly that combinations of belts are produced.
For example combinations of the STA or OGB-L belt with the WHG belt on the sides.
Many AGF products are frozen, since freezing prolongs their shelf-life.
When this process doesn’t take place, the step of cooling the products is certainly necessary.
Products are in some cases dried in advance of the cooling.
The installations used for this are often positioned successively.
These installations could be tunnel- (rectilinear) installations or tower installations. This depends on the available space (surface and height). Tribelt has, for both of these installations, the proper belts in her assortment;
The most common steps of the process in the AGF processing industry have just been mentioned. It could however be the case, that the possible solution for your specific problem isn’t mentioned.
In order to configure the proper belt, we would like to discuss this personally with you.
Cross flights, product carriers, side guards, distance rollers, (home made) chains and combinations of different belt types, there isn’t any version to which we say no in advance. Our comprehensive machinery, together with our engineering’s department and tool shop enables us to realize an unprecedented freedom of belt solutions
